You never see anybody from Maycomb on a jury- they all come from out in the woods.’” (Lee 296). Jem is beginning to develop a more sense of maturity towards people by asking questions and being curious about the world around him. He starts to read instead of asking Scout to play frivolous child games with him. “I drew my bead on him, remembered what Atticus had said, then dropped my fists and walked away, ‘Scout’s a cow-ward!’ ringing my ears. It was the first time I ever walked away from a fight.” (Lee 102). Scout matures a lot throughout the book. She started off as having an uncontrollable temper and picking fights with people. But now, as the novel proceeds to go on, she is starting to gain a sense of maturity by walking away from fights and avoiding trouble. Scout started off as an oblivious, obnoxious six year old with no awareness of the real world, to a very mature ten year old with a lot of life lesions demonstrated to her at a very young, inexperienced age. Jem and Scout also grew throughout the novel because when they thought that Boo Radley was a scary monster, he showed them that he was just a very shy man. Most children follow in their parents footsteps, just as Jem and Scout did when they grew up to be like Atticus. Like most children, Jem and Scout start off being naïve and playing childish games. says, “Ahab is a fool for being obsessed. But you could also argue that there is something
tragically heroic about fighting this battle he is doomed to lose” (159). This instantly relates
back to Q’s search for Margo. One mus…

If more people than this number use the destination, it starts to deteriorate. The natural social, cultural, and economic environment cannot remain in a healthy state for present and future generations. Put another way, carrying capacity measures how many people can be in a place comfortably, without causing…
