Finals – the word every college student abhors. It’s that time of year now where the number of dead grandma’s and car accidents increase. The time where students are running around like chickens with their heads cut off scrambling to get a good grade in class – whether it be studying furiously 24/7 or asking their professors for extra credit having not shown up to or participate in any of their classes. Whatever it is – it’s a time that I abhor more than other time of the year despite being close to finishing school. Looking back at this year – I’ve learned a lot about myself: my study habits (or lack thereof…), my abilities to procrastinate like no other, and my strengths and weaknesses when it comes to different subjects. With this new insight, I hope to improve myself as a student for the coming years by reflecting on what my objectives were for this year. …show more content…
Looking back, I feel as though I’ve met that goal half way. During the days, despite having 8AM classes, I stay up to around 1-2 in the morning which is much better than the 2 or 3 I’ve been staying up before. That being said – I still feel as though I need more sleep. If I do have classes so early, I should go to sleep at 1 or 12 at best. Doing this will help me tremendously with my abilities to be active and participate in all my classes as a student.
My second and third objective is my allotment of time for studying, and doing homework. This hasn’t been fruitful in the slightest. That combined with putting others above myself leads to me having to put off a team project at this moment, and finish up this essay in less than 50 minutes. I had all the time in the world this past weekend and I decide now to work on it. I need to stop procrastinating. Putting things off till the last minute – although has worked for me till now – will end up with me being bald, cranky and a raging
