How I Write
When I approach a writing assignment, I often delay commencement because writing is most of the time a long drawn out struggle for me. Depending on the task, I might procrastinate or start as soon as possible to complete it on time. No matter the task assigned, I always approach it with the same tool, a computer.
I am not particular when it comes to the style of computer or the brand of the computer, but a computer is the sole necessary device in my writing process. The computer provides me with an online dictionary, thesaurus, and all the other reference websites needed for my project. On top of that, it allows me to copy, paste, cut, delete, and add my information as I please, opposed to hand writing an essay.
I am always the sole creator of my papers. I often lend assistance to my peers, but do not take any in return. It is not that is very easy for me to come up with my own ideas; I just feel that when my paper is complete with the assistance of someone else it will too closely resemble the paper of the person who assisted me. I would rather struggle by myself and put in the extra work needed to research and gather ideas for my paper than to turn in something subpar and ordinary.
I do not need certain conditions to write my best. Although, most of the time I sit down to write I am in comfortable clothes in a quiet room. I prefer to be alone and not to be bothered when I write.
