Lobotomies were not the right thing to do in the case of Howard Dully. In fact, lobotomies were not right in an cases, because of the fact many patients didn’t have anything wrong or the fact that they only had depression. Lobotomies were just not the right treatment. What would of been the right treatment would of been love and compassion and the patients probably would of been fine without the major surgery that people often died from. That just doesn’t sound like something you would want a 12 year old boy to go through. Howard Dully was a normal boy with normal actions, he played jokes on his family, he’d pick on his younger siblings, and had B’s and C’s in school, just his parents were so strict and surgeons blamed the father and stepmother
