Scenario 4: The Effect of Additional Workload on Continuing Operations Discuss the challenges facing employers who must hire quickly. Note that existing policies may affect the process, the approval mechanisms and budgets. Discuss retention issues for existing staff with additional workloads. Consider scheduling the staff acquisition in stages; the ﬁ rst stage to meet pressing needs and the next stages to meet long-term needs.
