For the purpose of the assignment, I have selected an episode where the CEO of the pizza pizza Paul Goddard went undercover to observe and learn more about the company he had recently taken over. Pizza Pizza limited is a fast food restaurant with its headquarters in Toronto and other restaurants in other locations in Canada.
The two positions I have selected for comparison in the pizza pizza limited are the franchise manager position and the contract delivery, driver. Both positions are critical as the franchise managers ensure the pizza of the right quality and quantity and that they are ready in time, the delivery driver ensures that the product reaches the consumer where he is paid on delivery. Job analysis is a process of gathering and analyzing information on the context, content and other human resource requirements (Mathis, 2011). The human resource department uses this information to get the right employees for each position.
Generally, the franchise manager undertakes similar activities such as those of business managers which include overseeing activities in finance, human resources, marketing, sales, and operations.
