Hügli was founded in 1935 in Stenach, Switherland by industrial pioneer Beat Stoffel and food specialist Otto Hügli. It has experienced a sustained growth in both economics and operational scale over the last 77 years. Nowadays, it has become one of the largest producer of food ingredients in Europe and has more than 1,200 employees operating in 9 countries including Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom, Hungary, Austria and Slovakia.

Hügli caters to the kitchens of the professional out of home market (Food Service), manufactures products for brand companies (Brand Solutions) as well as for food retailers (Private Label). With its flavour adding semi-finished products, Hügli partners with food manufacturers (Food Industry) and sells own brands to consumers (Consumer Brands).

It produces a wide range of products including soups, sauces, seasonings, ready-to-serve meals, slimming products, sports nutrition products , etc. But the most outstanding products they provide are organic food and health beverages. They carefully tailor their products to suit customers' specific receipts and health and nutritional specifications. And they have already gained great success from the current markets they have entered.

Seen from the performance between 2005-2012, Hügli has achieved a stable growth in most of its market segments. According to Hugli's annual report, the business expansion has brought the division of natural and health food retailing a 1.3% increase year-on-year.
