Human Impact Research Paper Earth, what a beautiful place, we live on it and need it to survive, yet we harm in in many ways. Companies that make goods that we use everyday are one of the main polluters. Whenever people drive places, litter, or don't recycle they pollute the soil and ground. Humans are impacting the Earth and it’s future by destroying forest, polluting water, and polluting air. Humans are impacting the Earth and it’s future by destroying forest. Sebastion Bock states “recent estimates suggest deforestation is responsible for 10 to 15% of manmade carbon dioxide emission. Trees collect carbon and when you destroy that tree it releases all the carbon it collected. If lumber companies destroy enough trees we will not have enough trees to take in all the carbon we release. “Agriculture is estimated to be a direct driver for around 80% of deforestation.” states Science Daily. 80% is a huge percentage and that is why agriculture is a huge reason for Earth pollution and climate change. Agriculture alone causes 8% out of the 10% of the man made carbon dioxide from deforestation. Deforestation is one of the main reasons of climate change, it is 10% of the …show more content…
The United States Environmental Protection Agency states “fertilizer and animal manure, are the primary sources of water pollution. When farms use fertilizer and it gets in a water stream it pollutes the water. Animals have sources of water that run through their fields so they can drink, but when they poop in it pollutes the water. Furthermore “Industrys is a huge source of water pollution, it produces pollutants that are extremely harmful to people and the environment” states Guides Network. Because of factories some water is extremely harmful to swim in or drink when it is not filtered. Imagine going swimming in a lake and getting really sick. Water pollution is extremely harmful and is a big portion of Earth
