In order to keep away the curse of a female being born again in the family the father takes the baby and drowns it in a Calderon of milk. This has been practice so much in the village to there was no more women to be found. Ramsharan is a father of five sons and he also is a widow because he wife died. Ramsharan meets up with Rev Priest to read horoscopes to find a day his sons will find a wife. No marriage had been arranged in the village for 15 years. Pappu’s father found him a 14-year old bride. Pappu’s father paid thousands of dollars for the bride and two cows and the bride turned out to be a 14-year-old boy. Rev Priest informed Ramsharan that he has located a bride for his eldest, a beautiful young woman named Kalki.
