Culture Factors in Relations to Natural Disaster
Hurricane Katrina there was a natural disaster that had caused mental, physical economic related issues that needed assistance with the rebuilding of communities. From the perspective of the mesosystem, the ecological approach in addressing the building of communities requires the assistance from stakeholders in the funding for this organization. In the state of Mississippi, surrounded by water Hurricane Katrina caused damages that resulted in loss of homes, finances and people (James, & Gilliard, .2013). Large scale disaster forced to relocate individuals and their family to emergency shelters. The impact the disaster had among the community, reigns a fear amongst of the people impacted by the Hurricane Katrina disaster. The importance of counselors knowing that biases they may have towards other culture. knowledge of race, religion, and culture assist with the work performance(Cooper,2012). The continuous progression of an organization such as DBIA, is the revamping the development suitable to service all in the community at settling cost (Cooper, 2012). The variation of cultures and lifestyles impedes on their decision making especially when in crisis. Organizations that addresses crisis situations that can bring forth ethical dilemma when it comes down to the economy (Cooper,2012). Some difficulties with the decision making process, around ethics who reliability is on their service provision to remain in operation. Difficult challenges at that can be result in a legal issue, are the people receiving the best services based on what DBIA describes there job performance(DBIA,2014) .
