From October 20 to October 23, Hurricane Patricia developed into the strongest tropical cyclone ever in the Western Hemisphere. The hurricane reached winds of 200 miles categorizing it as the highest-level hurricane, a level five. The hurricane quickly lost its strength as it moved across Mexico’s rigid terrain, but the question being asked is, “What caused this hurricane to go from a category one to a category five in three short days?”
Researchers and scientists have been studying what could possibly be occurring in the Pacific Ocean that is causing such powerful storms and the immigration of species that shouldn’t be there. Currently researchers and scientists are trying to distinguish if the cause was human related or a phenomenon.
