It's simple, four words to be exact, but the meaning behind those words is endless. It's far greater than the miles charted on my shoes. Deeper than the numbers thrown together by a clock which gives the false impression of being what defines ability. More than the blisters, the aches, and the black toenails that last for months. Louder than a coaches’ scream of, “DON’T SETTLE!” Running is everything. Running has become my voice when there are no words, when I’m too scared to talk and too scared to reveal a vulnerable part of myself.
