Everybody responds to conflicts differently: by avoidance, direct aggression, indirect aggression, or just powering through it. In the past, many people and even whole countries have given into conflict. During the beginning of World War 2, the event of Pearl Harbor happened. Instead of America avoiding the conflict they took it head on by getting involved with World War 2. This began an even bigger conflict for America. Was it a good choice to respond to Pearl Harbor with more aggression or to just try to avoid it, who knows what would've been the best decision. She shares her story in the book "I am Malala". The Taliban began to invade her home and started to force the people of Malala's valley to obey their unjustified laws. They would attack people on the streets, blow up schools, and abuse the people in the swat valley. One rule that directly affected Malala was the ban of girls being able to go to school. they threatened all the girl schools in the valley. How did Malala respond to this conflict? Malala remained calm and positive she kept on going to school without fear and took a stand against the Taliban. Malala did interviews with different news broadcasts and spoke out against the Taliban, and talked about girls rights to go to school. In one broadcast Malala said," I am not scared of the Taliban they cannot take away my freedom." She also wrote a diary of a school girl's life under the Taliban's rule to help gain support for her cause and make people aware of her and all the girls who go to schools position.
