The short story “I’ve Got Gloria” takes place in Wyoming,USA. This was implied in the story when Scott mentioned he wanted to go hiking in Yellowstone because the Yellowstone National Park is located in Wyoming.
There are multiple locations in Wyoming but mostly in Scott’s house,the telephone booth and his dads car.
It takes place in the modern era. In fact, it was probably around the start of June because Scott talked about having to go to summer school and not being able to go hiking in Yellowstone. The setting truly helped depict this topic because when Scott was in a comfortable place like his home he was untroubled when making threats to Mrs.Whitman, and not taking any responsibility for flunking math.
