Every student learns in a different way. It is imperative that teachers know the many ways that all of their students learn. One reason for this is IEP's. Teachers need to know the ways that the student learns in order to have the right accommodations for that student. The IEP will then help both the teacher and student find a way to have the student be able to be in the general education classroom as much as possible. Students without disabilities also learn in different ways and understand concepts differently. Different teaching styles are a must in the classroom so that every student is able to learn to the best of their ability.

Explain which classes or experiences have contributed to your understanding of this standard.

I believe that this contributes to almost every aspect of my life. This include the classes that I have been in, as well as many of the experiences I have had. Everyone has their own way of learning. This means that every class I have been in, every classmate has a different way of learning than I do. My teaching reflection shows different ways of teaching that I used in one presentation in order to reach each and every person in my classroom. When reading to preschool children, I was able to test a certain type of teaching which is best for auditory learners. My math lesson plan also helped me test a different form of teaching. This form was best for tactile learners. My special education clinical reflection helped me experience different types of teaching for all different learners. Finally my simulation paper helped me look through a lens of a child who is in poverty. I believe that this simulation will help me accommodate students in my classroom that are in
