To millions of people around the world, Canada is considered a new opportunity, whether it’s for themselves or for their children, but to many who finally make that trip up north they are faced with challenges that make them consider going back to their homelands. In Canada, immigrants are often faced with challenges that they don’t expect, most commonly immigrants find difficulties in finding a well-paying job, learning English, and feeling like they assimilate to Canadian culture. An important issue that Immigrants often face when they come to Canada is finding a well-paying job. Though there are immigrants who come with no post-secondary education, there is another half that does and is still having a difficult time finding a job that justifies their degree, causing them to settle for a low paying job.
