Japanese Imperialism in Korea

Imperializing can bring both positive and negative effects for both the imperialist country and the imperialized country. Japan, gained land and political influence over the country of Korea but also lost money trying to imperialize the country. Korea, however, did gain a lot of positives from being imperialized like the introduction of mass culture they also lost a lot this including not only their culture but even their own people.

With the introduction of mass culture, people were able to connect easier with one another and it made sharing news faster and more efficient this making Korea not only a greatly modernized country but also an informed one.
Imperialism brings both good and bad on both sides, the imperialized country and the imperializing country. This can be seen by even with the awful things that happened to Korea like the destruction of their culture Japan also made them into the second most modernized country in Asia only behind Japan itself. This can even be seen in the fact that even with the gains of land and power Japan was still forced to spend a lot of money.
