The Importance of 9/11
On the morning of September 11, 2001, four airliners were hijacked by members of al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda was a terrorist group run by Osama bin Laden. Their goal was to carry out suicide attacks on important targets in the United States. Out of the four planes, one struck of them Pentagon. The other crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. The two remaining planes were flown into the Twin Towers in New York City. This event claimed almost three thousand lives, including men, women, and children of every race. Since this event there has been wars, new agencies, different laws, and has left a big impact on the US as we know it. Before this event happened, the US was not
