In the Middle ages or Medieval Period many authors,famous literary works, and historical events arose from this era.
During the Medieval Period there were others that wrote poems, books, and etc. for example, an author named Geoffrey Chaucer wrote poems during the medieval period. He was born in circa 1340 London, England and died October 25, 1400. In 1357, Geoffrey became a public servant to countess Elizabeth of Ulster and continued in that capacity with the British court throughout his life. Another author that was very well known during the medieval era was named Dante Alighieri. He was born 1265, Florence, Italy and was Gemma Di Manetto Donati from 1285 all the way to his death in September 1321, Ravenna, Italy.

This had many historical phenomenons, which began with an event called The Fall of Roman Empire, lasting from 27 BC all the way to 1453. This event caused the collapse of the Western Roman Empire and the waves of invasions and raiding that followed. The idea that Christianity caused or most contributed to the fall of the Western Empire has always been refused by modern historians. Another major event which was called The History of Black Death was disease which ravaged Europe between 1347 and 1400. The reason people name the event this was because of the death of over 50 million people which made that 60 percent of Europe. This event caused the collapse of the Western Roman Empire and the waves of invasions and raiding that followed.
