Through this murky swamp of teen emotion one thing that I really agree with is the intense guilt the Michael feels. After Micheal learns of Charlie Ward’s death and of the circumstances surrounding it he is wracked with feelings he isn’t able to handle. With him being unable to stand being at home while his family innocently speculates about the bizarre incident and Josh’s strange questions that make him unsure of how much he really knows. Also his relationships are falling apart with him breaking up with Darcy because he can’t talk to her and his recent long visits to Amy Ruggiero. Plus his constant fear of running into Jenna and having to look her in those sad eyes that haunt him, all while trying to keep up the facade of a normal

Even though it was foggy and misty someone should have noticed. Also if MIchael sits on the church steps why does no one again not notice? It would seem weird that a random kid sits in front of the church and stares the Ward house or his in a ball, yet still Jenna was the only one who paid it any attention. Something else interesting is that Joe keeps going on about if Michael turns him in that he’ll be an accessory and he’s right withholding testimony on a homicide case is a felony but why doesn’t he ever mention or consider three strikes law? If he’s found out about the testimony that’s one, when he smashes Amy’s car windshield that’s two and filing the false police report would be three. He’d be in a lot more trouble than just an accessory to a crime however he appears not even to consider it. Also why does Joe still stick with MIchael, he could just say that he was threatened by him to cover up the crime, Michael would get jail and he would be a free man despite this he sticks with his friend. It must be one powerful relationship or very one sided with Michael not even trying to defend Joe when his brother turns him into a suspect for the
