Heroes Adhering to Honesty

It is obvious times have changed over the years and values have become a sizable issue of concern yet through my study I have arrived to the understanding that early settlers dealt with this in a similar manner. With faith, family and teamwork being the source that holds this thought together, it is the belief “In God We Trust” I find greatly to be most powerful when honestly truly demonstrated. But was it faith, family and teamwork alone that guided the settlers through their hard times? Yes, despite all of the harassment organized by the Ryker brothers the settlers did prevail and moved forward in their quest to live on the land that they were legally occupying to

Shane was definitely a blessing in disguise from when he first arrived to the Starret family home to the time he left town. Contrary to the fact he did have to sleep in the
Starret’s barn, he was graciously welcomed and a big help to the family that further included the rest of the town. As tension grew throughout the town while being tormented by the Ryker brothers, the settlers became tired and worn out. With the loss of a townhome and a settler by gun fire, this dramatically escalated things to an even higher level. The settlers tried to encourage each other to go about their daily normal plans that they were entitled to but there were also those that felt they could no longer handle the location anymore that created tension and fighting amongst each other. Even though Shane knew how to handle the situation from the beginning better than the settlers, he held back and tried to guide the settlers to handle the events taking place that was fair for everyone. With Shane himself even being harassed by the Ryker brothers, Shane knew what he was up against he went about prepared for things to end honestly, that it did, by a shootout between Shane and the Ryker
