According to the four sources provided, the authors claim that the residents of the Inca empire were master builders and expert stonemasons. They also excelled at building hanging bridges and terraces. Furthermore, the authors also say that the Inca empire ranged over 2,500 miles. In addition, the authors also state that there was another civilization before them, known as the Pueblos. The Incan tribes were a very advanced society, but they were exposed to other civilizations, such as the Pueblos who set the example for building shelters, roads, and using farming techniques. As a matter of fact, Pueblo artifacts were found in cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde, Colorado and dated back to A.D. 1200 (1). Additionally, this shows that other tribes such as the Pueblos knew how to create shelters in the cliffs by cutting the rocks and creating terraces. This even shows that the Incas may have built over the Peblos creations, generations after. Given these points, Pueblo tribes also traded goods with other tribes in Mexico and Central America which allowed them to share their skills and knowledge with other civilizations (2). As shown above, the Pueblos were sharing their skills and ideas with others, from different parts of the eastern hemisphere. In a way, this correlates to the fact being that Incas work was inspired by the Pueblos. To summarize, the Incas were probably taught by the Pueblos, who carried on their ideas and trilogy.
