No American document has had a greater global impact than the Declaration of Independence. It has been fundamental to American history longer than any other text because it was the first to use the name “the United States of America”: in this sense, the Declaration was the birth certificate of the American nation. It enshrined what came to be seen as the most succinct and memorable statement of the ideals on which that nation was founded: the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; the consent of the governed; and resistance to tyranny. And, as the first successful declaration of independence in world history, its example helped to inspire countless movements for independence, self-determination, and revolution after 1776.

Today we can see the effects of the first sentence written in the Preamble: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”? Throughout history we have seen so many different changes, from freedom of slaves, to equality among men and women. Today, women have been given every opportunity that men are now given and are truly equal among men. From the very first sentence of the second paragraph, the Declaration of Independence is somewhat flawed. Humans today have many rights that other people in the past did not have, most people believe that all men are not treated equally. However, some people agree that all man are treated equal and independent.
Some people believe that all men are not created equal. Some of us are born with physical or mental disabilities, others are born into financially insecure families. Therefore, they have significantly less opportunities in life rather than the more financially stable denizens of the world. Some are even limited by their family. They mean that they are all born with a blank slate - no knowledge, no common sense, nothing but a physical body and a mind with the potential to do great things. Everyone is equal but not the same. For example, if you were born in Japan and someone else in California, they were born equally but raised differently. Things get complicated when you start to factor things in like the learning environment, outside influences, and living conditions, which affect the way humans develop.
