There is always a purpose in every novel on understanding the basic point of the story. In the Novel “Anthem” is about the individual’s struggle against collectivism, against the idea that their society has the right to direct each person life for the benefit of all. Andy Rand has wrote a story that carries the logical conclusion of where people are simply numbered and the government has complete control of one individual values. The point of this novel is for to get readers intrigued by where the loss of individuality identity is demanded and the narrator Equality 7-2521 significance of his existence is only when he comes to understand that he has his own universe and that his intelligence defines his reality.
