During the progressive era, there were many reforms addressing industrialization. Some reformers believed that industrialization was the root of many problems, that led to unsanitary and dangerous working conditions, so they worked to resolve them. Many of their reforms were successful in improving industrial conditions. They worked hard to reform the dangerous and disgusting conditions that many factory workers had to deal with between 1890 and 1920.

Progressives were mostly successful in reforming industrial conditions. Industrial conditions were terrible in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. There were many difficult aspects of being a factory worker during the progressive era. The wages were unfair. Men would work eight hour days and still
