Industry Analysis
There are thousands of beauty salons all over the world and small salons contribute to the industry quite a lot. It’s shown that men make up to 75% of clientele and females favor an upscale salon more if it’s in their budget. While women with children go more towards a family style of salon. The natural hair community has been trending over the last several years, coming and going.

The closest salon to Zhané it's about a mile away and like my salon it does specialize in natural hair care. This particular salon creates its own hair products, the sizes of their product range from 10 to about 12 ounce jars with purple lavender colored labeling. They hair care products will run you about $22 for each individual jar. My salon will also have its own hair care line of products but as well as the mainstream hair care products that you can buy in the stores today. The salon that I am looking at that is less than a mile away from my salon does not offer this.

My prices will be about $2-$3 cheaper than my competitor’s prices. My competitors business is structured to survive in today's market their policies are strict and the wording on their website page is very strong. This may turn some customers away, my salon will be a place where you can come and learn about your hair without the feeling of being intimidated by your stylist. In researching the competition, it is in my opinion that they do not seem capable of making fast and accurate decisions. My competitors seems to be a business of sound mind well planned out actions and therefore making a fast and accurate decision does not seem like something that they are capable of.
