The challenge we face today is to find a way to move forward and become a nation of citizens. A nation of people who contribute the good of society while building better lives for their families without living in fear. We must find a way to change the laws and allow hard working families a way to earn citizenship in the United States. We also need to take a close look at the trauma that is placed on the children who are U.S. citizens and who end up being left behind when their parents get detained and then deported.
The current immigration system in the U.S. seems to be antiquated and inflexible.
