| Situation: You are working as a Network Administrator for a reputable company. Your role is to manage the Information Technology Department for this company. In addition to managing a number of Computer Technicians, you are also responsible for the overall management and maintenance of your Company’s network. Your Company is in the process of undertaking a large restructure which will have direct implications for your Department. You have been asked to provide the management of your Company with report, giving an overview of the current network. You have been provided with a number of key areas to cover, including specific questions that must be answered in the report. In addition to this, you have been asked to prepare a presentation to compliment your written report.Design Brief: You will be undertaking this project in groups of 2. Each group must identify their own Organisation (company, business or community organisation) with no groups selecting the same Organisation. The organisation must be real and show evidence that they are currently using a computer network. Once your group has decided on an Organisation, inform your Teacher, who will make sure that the choice is appropriate and that no other group has selected the same Organisation.This assessment consists of the following two components; 1) A written report 2) A presentationWritten Report (Part A) – Tasks 1 to 5The report is known as Part A. The report must document your response to Tasks 1 to 5. The report must be submitted as a hard copy by each due date. You must only submit one document between the group.Presentation (Part B) – Task 6All members of the group must be involved in the presentation and you will have access to the data-projector to do this. You will be required to hand in a hard copy of your presentation to your teacher on the same day of your presentation. Presentations will start Week 1 of Term 3: (Monday 22nd July, 2013). |
