Autism is a physical brain disorder that causes a lifelong developmental disability. People with autism vary widely in their behavior and abilities and each symptom can appear differently in every person. My brother was born with aspergers syndrome. He is considered to have a high functioning form of autism who has difficulty interacting and communicating with others. Living with a brother who has aspergers is not very much fun, I’ll say. Growing up my family always thought something about him was different and it wasnt hard for others to notice too. In todays society and culture we are quick to criticize people who are different than us and some are quick to bully as well. What most dont acknowledge is that bullying is detrimental to the victim and can have a very negative impact on the rest of their life. I am a witness of this catastrophe and the effects it has on the victim.

I have witnessed first hand of the effects of being differenet than what society projects you to be.
