1. Explain Porter’s Five Forces Model and how Bill can use it to analyze his current business and his expansion. Be sure to address each of the 5 forces and explain to Bill what they mean for his business.

Sassy shoes needs to stay competitive and profitable in the shoe industries. In order to do this they will need to analyze the business environment to determine the strategies they will need to implement. To do this they will use Porter’s Five Forces Model.

A mailing list would be created for customers loyal coupons. The system will provide an accurate and efficient way to do business other than pen and paper.

b. An Inventory Control System would give Bill and manager’s real time information to help with inventory, placing orders online, track invoicing, and payments. A bar code system allows Bill and managers the opportunity to log into inventory faster and more accurately. Customers will be able to place orders and have them shipped directly. Once the order has been placed the system will remove it from inventory, so that it cannot be sold to another customer.

c. Enterprise Resource Planning ties all aspects of the business processes together electronically. All levels of the business will be able to function as one unit. All parts of it will be able to be monitor individually and also as a unit, which helps in the strategic planning for current and future business decision.
