When you see the acronym LGBTQ the letters mean; lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, and questioning. Doing my research by talking with my family and friends, I have learned, the challenges they face with prejudices outside of the LGBT community. What people do not know, some of them are afraid of being bullied, when people find out. If you know someone that is keeping a secret, do not “OUT” him or her, it is his or her story to tell, not yours. This is called coding, which all of us do from time to time. This is when you act a certain way around people, and not being yourself.
LGBT has different transgender terms, so it is better to ask which proper noun they prefer to be address. For Ex; he, she, ze, they, and their names.
