Racism is not gone. Though some people find comfort in believing racism is dead, it must be acknowledged that institutional racism is very real and plays an extremely huge role in our day to day lives. Our children’s education is effected along with their health, even our children’s self-image is affected by it. It is our duty to see to the eradication of these practices so that our future generations will thrive alongside their peers.
An abundant amount of people think that racism in U.S. schools ended 62 years ago with the Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court decision which held that “separate” schools for black and white children were constitutionally unequal, but there’s a large body of research that indicates that racism prevails
