In life, there are many chances to move forward, whether it is in your job, school, or your personal relationships. Sometimes when deciding to take the opportunity there may be internal conflict. If there is any form of internal conflict in the decisions you are making, you need to take a moment, pause for a second and get clarity as to why. Chances are if your judgment has mixed feelings, it is probably because there is something wrong.
Having conflicting goals generally, comes from seeking social and cultural approval at the expense of your true and essential goals. Discord is the reverse of harmony, and it happens when the pursuit of your goal impedes you from accomplishing your other goals.
The closer you get to finding an alignment with your objective, the more particular you must become with your time. Time is a very costly resource and wasting it, when you are goal

Although you know what you want, it's not exactly clear how you'll get there. As a result, most people procrastinate and sometimes quit prematurely, and thus settling for less than they desired.
When a situation presents an opening or you are presented with a clear path toward a goal you did not or would not have preferred for yourself, it's imperative to check your reasons. For instance, imagine a couple of years after high school you took some classes and upon completion you became Occupational Safety and Health Administration certified to be a safety inspector in the shipyard and long shoring industry.
After a few months, you came to the realization that you were unhappy with your job, it was stressful and unsatisfying, but I was managing. You have been working in that industry for a little over a year now and was then offered a high paying job to work offshore on a drilling platform.
Thinking about accepting the opportunity, you realize your motivates for accepting such a job was not to be happy with what you will be doing but because of the
