The article chosen discussed intersex issues and highlighted that Germany is the first European country to allow parents of intersex children to not determine the sex of their child at birth or elect to have them surgically modified to fit a particular gender. I find this article very interesting, the ethical principles and civil rights issues surrounding intermediate gender issues proves to be very difficult to decipher. From a parent standpoint they are forced or rushed to make a decision regarding gender that will impact the child's life forever.
