Interwest Healthcare Corp. is a non-profit organization. This organization has not been doing well in the healthcare industry for the last couple of months. Interwest’s CFO found that the employees are not giving full concentration while data entry. Interwest continuously making wrong report and for this reason it deprived of getting federal funds from Government, which is a huge loss for them. The CFO Mr. Sing addressed the problem and managed a meeting with the employees including the CEO in order to fix the problem; but, the result is zero. Interwest needs to ensure that they have all modern technology instruments in the company. Moreover, they need to give proper training to their employees through high experienced professionals. Interwest should give performance appraisal to their employees based on the employee’s performance; as a result, employees get motivated and will try to give their best. Interwest should introduce a regulatory team to monitor employees work in the company may reduce the inaccuracy of data entry. Interwest should ensure better job atmosphere for employees who do data entry. Interwest should give vacation to their staffs in order to remove their boredom. Interwest’s employees should consider some friendly software like excel, pdf to reduce the work load and at the same time reduce inaccuracy of data entry.
4. How does your view of behavior affect how you might address this consulting assignment?
As a consultant of Interwest Healthcare, I would like to prefer Happy-Is-productive model to address this assignment. Happy stuffs are more creative than unhappy stuffs (Brickley, Smith, & Zimmerman, p. 35, 2009). The profitability of each organization is fully depending on the employees; because employees are the citizens who represent the company. Interwest’s stuffs are not satisfied on their upper level officials; as a result, they are not caring about their work. As a consultant, I want to give preference my employees first.
