She is intelligent, understanding, kind, beautiful, and honest with people. After a bad break up she is unwilling to be in a relationship, but is okay with playing the part of the girlfriend. She let's her clients know what is acceptable and is to not the type to be pushed around. Throughout the story she helps her clients in many ways from getting people off their back to getting ex girlfriends jealous. The way the author wrote her and her reasons for doing her job had me siding with her as well.

When she is hired by Ash the two meet and sparks fly. This was not the typical hot girl and hot guy meet bang then it's I love you. Of course there is instant attraction between the two but not instant love. Both characters knew they wanted to not be in a relationship for different reasons.

Throughout the story the romance slowly builds up and is believable and done in an adult way. Due to her past Alessandra is very guarded but Ash starts to break through her barriers by being honest with her and being a friend. She plays the part of the girlfriend but it isn't long until they became good friends and genuinely cared for each other. Helping each other to mend relationships with family and to move on holding one's head up
