The Road to the Revolution

Have you ever wondered how America, the land of the free and home of the brave, managed to win the Road to the Revolution? How our people fought for freedoms and rights that would later benefit all of us. The Road to the Revolution covered many events which started with the Navigation Acts of 1660, French and Indian War:1754-1763, Pontiac’s Rebellion and Proclamation of 1763, Sugar Act:1764, Stamp Act: 1765, Declaratory Act: 1766, Townsend Act: 1767, The Boston Massacure:1770, The Boston Tea Party: 1773 and the Intolerable Acts: 1774 lists the chronological order of the Road to the Revolution. These events slowly lead to our victory of the Road to the Revolution and what we call “America, “home of the brave. The beginning of this journey began with the Navigation Acts of 1660, where things changed for Great Britain forever.

The act was needed due to the increase in shipping and the encouragement of this nation, religion, wealth, and land for settlers. The Acts lead to limited amount of colonial trade. The Triangular Trade was involved in the act, which is a system of goods and slaves to be traded by the three land areas, America, Africa, and Britain. The Pilgrims were the very first group to rule themselves without a king, they had a contract called the “Mayflower Compact.” The Pilgrims settled in the state known as Virginia, in the first town that was known as Jamestown. We expanded far, thus the 13 colonies was born. The years go by and the expansion was awful after the natives attacked the colonies and decided to go to war with the natives and the French which leads us to the “French and Indian
