Abortion is a problem because the people are worried about who gets abortions and under what circumstances. Abortion has been a topic of debate since this practice has been started. There have been multiple laws set to limit abortions, but according to graphs, these laws haven’t been helping much. The government started counting abortions in 1960. It had started out small with only a couple hundred per year. This eventually turned into thousands of abortions a year which turned into millions of abortions a year. The number of abortions had skyrocketed during the Great Depression. Something else that made abortions was a group of women in Chicago that started “Jane”. This was an underground group that was helping women get affordable abortions.
