The Affordable Care Act was put into place in the United States led by Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. This was intended to increase the quality and affordability of health insurance, but it had many negative consequences. Under the Affordable Care Act, many people now have to pay a higher premium than before. Those same people that pay higher receive less coverage than they did before.
