If there was a burning building and people inside, don’t you think you would be a little hesitant on whether you wanna go in risking your life to save them or not? Well, Ponyboy didn’t hesitate at all when people were inside a burning church. Ponyboy saved people that day and this makes him a true hero. There’s many more reasons to why Ponyboy is a hero and here they are. Ponyboy was the first to run into the church that day. Many people would argue that Johnny was the best hero because he died from saving the children, however Johnny may of never ran into that church if Ponyboy didn’t run in first. Ponyboy’s actions were very heroic and he didn’t think of himself before running inside. He wanted to save the children and knew he should.
