American Dream is Possible The American Dream are opportunities that help us to be better and succeed in life. In the article, “ All Roads Led to Poly for Principal Ari Bennett, Head Parrot’s Passionate Voice for Students” written by Karina Avila and Kate Martinez they show us how the American Dream is possible to achieve no matter where you come from, you can do it if you put dedication to it. In my opinion America does provide access to the American Dream even though has now been harder to achieve.

The government is constantly cutting health benefits and education for kids, but at the same time they are rising costs for important things such as food, gas, rent, and credit card. In the article, “Is the American Dream Still Possible?” written

In the article, “ I, too, Sing America “written by Langston Hughes, he show us how that people are been discriminated by their skin color. Langston Hughes himself writes, “ I am the darker brother. They send me to eat in the kitchen when someone comes” (page 13). Basically, Langston Hughes is saying that his family was ashamed of him because he was dark, in consequence he has to eat in the kitchen when visits come to his house. Although, he knows that that days weren't easy, he always remind himself that one day he will be sitting in the big table and people will see that he become a handsome man and now his family will not be ashamed of him. In other words, the author is saying that doesn’t matter that people discriminated you. You can make your American Dream true without that kind of people. In the article, “ All Roads Led to Poly for Principal Ari Bennett, Head Parrot's Passionate Voice for Students” written by Karina Avila and Kate Martinez, they give us an example about how teacher discriminated students and make them fail classes. However, this student has been successful in his life because he wants to prove to himself that he can make anything he wants if he put dedication to it. “ Bennett attended Portola Junior High, where unfortunately he has a teacher who “weren't serious about teaching students.” Some teachers discriminated against their students by dumbing down their course work. These prejudice motivated Bennett to take AP courses” ( paragraph 6). In other words, what Karina Avilar and Kate Martinez are saying is that Mr. Bennett had a teacher that didn't dedicate to their job and inconsequence the students were failing their class. This teacher motivated Mr. Bennett to take AP classes because he didn't want that kind of teachers any more in his life because he wants to achieve a better life style. This
