When society hears the name Frankenstein, our minds go straight to the monster and they don’t “know” the guy that created the monster. This is very interesting that they think of Frankenstein as the monster when really he is the doctor. Now considering the topic of this essay is whether I think Frankenstein is a monster or not I’m going to revert back to the way society thinks. Frankenstein is not a hero, granted he invented a way to bring people back to life and even reanimate once living things. But that is really the only thing that makes him a hero, he makes the choice to create a life and then disowns it and never once tries to help it. He hates it and wants it destroyed. Victor Frankenstein goes to college and studies chemistry and science but finds a way to create life. He hopes to play god and make his own person. All of this is probably because of the relationship with his mom. When he was young he was always traveling with his parents and there was so much love between the three of them. As life went on they adopted a girl and had more kids but his mom got sick and died. Its hard losing people that are very …show more content…
This creature has no idea what he is or even knows anything. He literally took his first breath like two minutes before hand. Victor treats his creation like a monster and he doesn’t actually see that even though this thing looks like a huge man he is really a new born. When you create a life you are responsible for this brand new life and need to take care of it. If Frankenstein is the hero that people think he is why does he treat the creation this way? Sure bring up our agency and tell me that the monster made the choices to kill and terrify, you grow up from the first day of your life with people running and screaming when you come by.
