Socialization is defined as "The process by which individuals internalize the values, beliefs, and norms of a given society and learn to function as members of that society" (Conley 113). Socialization is also considered a life-long process (SOC 150 Lecture). I learned from the video lecture that socialization process starts when we are born. For example, children establish their identity and beliefs (SOC 150 Lecture). Teenagers maintain a consistent identity; adults learn new roles and expectations of what is expected of them in society (SOC 150 Lecture). C. J.
