On this basis, Joe Klein constructed the story of the fictional Jack Stanton. Through this tale, the author worked to provide evidence that Bill Clinton’s campaign was propelled forth by the success of first impressions and disillusionment throughout his campaign. As he watched Jack Stanton’s campaign begin with an impressive debate against his opponents, Henry found himself pleasantly surprised. He was drawn in by Jack’s conversational abilities. He appeared genuine in his stature and goals.
