Jackie Robinson grew up among his four siblings in a place of poverty. In college he played football, baseball, and basketball. His journey to break the color barrier began when Mr. Rickey Branch accepted Jackie onto the Brooklyn Dodgers. During games he was verbally abused with racial slurs by fans and other teams. Jackie Robinson married to Rachel Robinson and they ha three kids: Jackie Jr., Sharon, and David. He was a member of many organizations supporting African American Righhts. For example, NAACP and SCLC.After 1956, when his baseball career ended he decided to spend all of his time with his family.
