Every struggles and every obstacle; from being in love with a vampire (werewolves moral enemies), to lying on her deathbed he never left her side. Jacob never wanted to leave her side. Even when Bella declared her love for Edward and made the decision of wanting to become a vampire like him, did not put a halt in Jacob’s forever love for her. The process of imprinting on Renesmee was explained in Breaking Dawn as, “All the lines that held me to my life were sliced apart in swift cuts, like clipping the strings of a bunch of balloons. Everything that made me who I was - my love for the dead girl upstairs, my love for my father, my loyalty to my new pack, the love for my other brothers, my hatred for my enemies, my home, my name, my self - disconnected from me in that second - snip, snip, snip, and floated up into space.” Renesmee was his whole world now, she is his road to eternal bliss. It’s very hard for Renesmee to resist the levels of commitment, compatibility and adoration that Jacob has to offer. The imprintee, Renesmee, will feel incomplete without her soulmate, Jacob, nearby.
