Jadakiss first became involved in the justice system at age 16. His legal history includes six intake contacts. Jadakiss has had an intake contact for a felony offense. None of the intake contacts were for felony offenses against another person. Jadakiss has been placed outside of the home approximately five times for mental health evaluations and hospitalizations. He has no history of escape and no detention placements.

On October 22, 2014, this officer first met with Jadakiss, his mother, grandmother, aunt, and in-home workers to conduct a social history for compliance with the department of Juvenile Justice standards. It was reported that he had just been released from his first hospital admission at Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents that day. His affect was flat and he would not talk. He was sluggish with an angry and threatening posture and stare.

The mother was going to waive a lawyer. This officer informed the Judge of the recent release from a mental hospital and the state that he was last observed in. A public defender was appointed and a competency evaluation ordered. The case was continued until December 10, 2014. This officer spoke with Jadakiss and his family after court. Jadakiss still presented mannerisms of concern but he was able to communicate his concerns. He continued to present a threatening stare at this officer and stated that he did not like that this officer was calling him crazy and saying something was not right with him. This officer explained only the doctor could say what was needed and that a competency evaluation was the only thing being requested today. His mother indicated that she understood the request but wanted help and services for Jadakiss.
