Do you think participation trophies are worth being handed to some youth? According to the article " Participation trophies" people have different thoughts on handing out participation trophies to the youth. James Harrison had a post on Instagram about how he was taking his sons trophies back because of the non hard work and he believed that the trophies have to be earned not just given. He was also taking the trophy as a sign of disrespect due to it just saying participant. He told his son that they'd get trophies when they worked really hard and that when he has thoughts they he earned the trophies. Participation trophies are a waste of time. It's good to see the smiles on the children by handing them trophies. So what if they didn't give enough effort at least the are on the team and showed up to practice. If they are apart of the team, they are family. No matter what other people say they are on the team participating, showing up, and on the team. If they showed up, they deserve their reward. There's nothing more to it. A team is a team and when they all participate it works itself out for a great season. These such awards always bring entitlements and joy to kids. To see their smiles is better than to see them crying. it's better to see anything else besides sad looks on the children's faces.When the coaches see the smiles and happiness on the kids, at the end of the day the coaches know they've done their job. To the coaches, after doing this, they come to believe that they have done their job as a coach to help the kids. There is no participation reward in life. You can't just expect things to be handed to you. All those rewards you see on TV and on the field, they've all been around and there's nothing more
