Jane Addams was one of the historic character of American History because of her fight for progress of American and immigrants. She fought for women’s right to vote, she also fought for the actions of leaders in the needs of American people. Not only she fought for women’s equality, Jane Addams was also a leader of the peace movement in the struggle in the struggle of women’s suffrage. She is most known for founding the hull house in Chicago. The goal of this settlement was to give resource to immigrants and to the people of lower class. Two years later, she went back to Europe, she found something that she liked. Jane Addams saw a social establishment, she decided to create a similar establishment in her town of Chicago. She did not know about how and what she will need to create an establishment But, she first thought of getting a house to start her goal. When Jane Addams was in London, she a social Christian movement, “the idea of that movement was that Christian as part of their faith have to help their community”(americaslibrary). People in that time had to give back to their community, this idea convinced her to help people back in her town of Chicago. When she came back to Chicago, she started looking for a free house, and she later got a free house for someone of good faith. She put everything together and began the hull house. The hull house was a house to give health care, education to poor people and immigrants. She got the idea from the Social Christian movement when she was in London. When she created the hull house she thought of creating something that could give food, education, Healthcare, and social services to people of lower class and immigrants. Jane Addams thought of bringing reforms in her town of Chicago, and she did it by working with people and leaders. In 1900, While she was working with immigrants and people of lower class, while she fought to set up a culture of peace and justice. I think she believed to the fact that women was similar to men and it was a human’s right to vote, to have a better life, she knew that in order for her town changes, people need to gathered and to work with all social classes for having a better life and a better
