Early Life Jane Austen was born on December 16, 1775, in Steventon,

Hampshire, England. She was the 17th daughter of Cassandra and George

Hampshire, England. Jane's parents were well respected community

members. She very close to her father and her older sister cassandra.Jane

started to write in small notebooks about friendships and love. Her early life

was filled with responsibility at home running the house. In 1805 her father

died and that brought many finacial problems.

She passed away at age 47 in the united kingdom. Her first books she wrote were, Sense

and Sensibility in 1811, Pride and Prejudice in 1813, Mansfield Park in 1814, and Emma

in 1815. In July of 1816, Austen completed the first draft of her next novel, entitled “The

Elliots.” Her style of writing was a combination of a exaggerated parody, irony, free

indirect speech and a degree of realism. The main theme which is mentioned in Pride
